Rub My Mind was recorded at Rancho De La Luna where Iggy Pop and Queens of the Stone Age have recorded seminal albums. Produced and mixed by Jay Baumgardner (Evanescence, John Fogerty, Bush) it is 13 tracks of pure angst filled rock clocking in at just over 51 minutes.

Barb Wire Dolls at times sound like Maja Ivarsson of The Sounds time traveled to the 70’s and fronted The Sex Pistols. At times they also sound like Blondie (which isn’t a bad thing).

Fronted by Isis Queen with Pyn Doll (lead guitar), Remmington (rhythm guitar), Iriel Blaque (bass), and Krash Doll (drums) rounding out the line up are sure to be a favorite on this years Warped Tour.

For me the standout tracks are Back In The USSA, Hole Of Isolation, We Are Champions, Contract, and Desert Song.

If you dig bands that borrow more from Blondie, The Sounds, and other heavy rock you can’t go wrong with Barb Wire Dolls.
