(FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, COURTESY OF DAYS OF THE DEAD)

One of the highlights of the first DAYS OF THE DEAD convention was the much talked about SCREAM QUEENS panel - an event highlighting some of the best women in horror cinema discussing their experiences in the genre in a lively Q&A format. The original Scream Queens panel consisted of Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street), PJ Soles (Halloween, Carrie), Linnea Quigley (Night of the Demons, Return of the Living Dead), and honorary Scream Queen, Mark Patton (A Nightmare on Elm Street 2).

While DAYS OF THE DEAD had an excellent overall roster which did well in highlighting women in horror - including such actresses as Zoe Bell (Grindhouse), Melissa Cowan (The Walking Dead), Amanda Wyss (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Ginger Lynn Allen (The Devil's Rejects), Camille Keaton (I Spit on Your Grave), Kayla Perkins, Michelle Shields, and more - the aforementioned Scream Queens and its respective event were undoubtedly one of the runaway hits of the weekend and the most talked about events by fans.

And you know what they say, every good original deserves an even better sequel...

By popular demand, the Scream Queens event will return for DAYS OF THE DEAD: Atlanta and promises to be bigger and better than the original! SCREAM QUEENS II: Rise of the Woman will feature a whole new panel actresses recounting their experiences in the horror genre in a very personal, casual Q&A setting. Rumor even has it, they may even be joined by a few returning Scream Queens alumni from our inaugural event, just to liven things up a bit.

Look for the cast of guests for SCREAM QUEENS II: Rise of the Woman to be announced in the near future.
